Staff Accountant
Position Type: Full-time, salaried position
Job Summary:
The Staff Accountant is responsible for assisting with various financial tasks, including but not limited to, preparing financial statements, reconciling accounts, and analyzing financial data to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.

Financial Reporting and Analysis:
Utilize accounting software systems to prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
Provide support for budgeting and forecasting processes.
Assist with tax preparation and filing and stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
Account Reconciliation:
Reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
Investigate and resolve discrepancies or issues identified during the reconciliation process.
Financial Controls:
Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards to safeguard company assets and maintain integrity in financial reporting.
Assist with internal and external audits by providing documentation, explanations, and support as requested.
Perform additional tasks as required.
Education & Experience:
Public accounting experience (Pursuing a CPA is a plus but not required)
2+ years of experience in accounting or related field.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Experience with accounting software (NetSuite is a plus).
Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet targeted deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Requires proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating in English.

Physical Demands:
Requires sitting at a desk for long periods of time, performing tasks on a computer, the ability to move within the office to attend meetings, access equipment, or interact with colleagues.
