Canvasser Shift Lead

Canvasser Lead

Position Type: This is a full-time hourly position that is eligible for overtime. In addition to the hourly rate, you will be eligible for bonuses/commissions based on performance. Come join a great team with a fun culture while helping to improve the communities we live in!

Job Summary:

The Canvasser Lead is responsible for providing comprehensive training and ongoing support to our Canvassing team, ensuring their success in the field, including facilitating the seamless integration of new Canvassers and maintaining high team morale and productivity.

  • Team Leadership:
    • Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to the team to foster a cohesive and high-performing group.
    • Address any conduct concerns or performance challenges among team members promptly, escalating them to the Canvassing and Event Manager when necessary.
    • Collaborate with management to establish team-wide and individual goals tailored to the region and skill sets.
    • Identify skill gaps within the team and implement strategies to address and bridge these gaps effectively.
  • Team Support:
    • Utilize Sales Rabbit to allocate canvassing territories efficiently, while also handling morning administrative tasks as assigned.
    • Coordinate transportation for team members, ensuring punctual arrival at designated shift locations.
  • Provide on-the-ground supervision and support to Canvassers during their fieldwork to optimize their canvassing efforts and ensure a productive day.
  • Perform additional tasks as required.

Education & Experience:

· Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.

· Previous experience in Field Marketing is required.

· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse audiences.

· Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

· Requires proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating in English.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This is a supervisory role that may include overseeing and managing a team or department.

Work Environment:

Outdoor Environment: This position is primarily outdoors, canvassing in residential neighborhoods in various weather conditions. This position will attend training, meetings, and other designated sessions in an office setting as required.

Physical Demands:

· Requires walking for extended periods, engaging with numerous individuals daily, navigating various terrains and weather conditions, carrying promotional materials up to 10 lbs., climbing stairs, and maintaining energy levels throughout the shift.

· This job may require travel in a personal or company-provided vehicle.
