DMS Technician I

Position Type: Full-time, hourly position eligible for overtime plus performance incentives.

Job Summary:

The Ductless Mini Split (DMS) Technician I is responsible for proficiently installing DMS and related technology in customer’s homes while ensuring adherence to quality standards, safety protocols, and project specifications.

• Installation of Ductless Mini Split Systems:
  • Measure and assess installation sites for ductless mini split units.
  • Install outdoor compressor/condenser units and indoor air-handling units following manufacturer guidelines and technical specifications.
  • Connect refrigerant lines, power cables, and condensate drains ensuring proper alignment and functionality.
  • Verify system operation and perform initial testing to confirm performance and efficiency.
• Safety Compliance and Maintenance:
  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations when handling refrigerants and operating installation equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to minimize hazards and facilitate efficient workflow.
  • Perform routine maintenance on DMS equipment and tools to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
• Perform additional tasks as required.

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Familiarity with various HVAC materials, tools, and techniques.
• Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a team environment.
• Requires proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating in English.

Work Environment: (will have exposure to the following)

• Warehouse Environment: This position is based in a warehouse, which serves as a base for many of our operations and includes equipment and material storage areas.
• Customer settings: This position is based in customer settings and will require work in and out of doors, including in attics, basements, small-confined spaces, and rooftops.

Physical Demands:

• This job requires travel in a company-provided vehicle.
• While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand, bend, crawl, or kneel in confined spaces. The employee may be required to lift up to 60 pounds, and must be able to climb ladders, enter crawl spaces, and move up and down stairs safely.

Compensation: $23 per hour + potential for additional $80 per week in incentives
